
Katie Lis
Katie was most recently seen as Daddy Brubeck in Sweet Charity (Free-Rain Theatre Company, 2025), a performance that earned her an Ovation Award nomination. Prior to this, she appeared as Bridget in Bring It On: The Musical (Canberra Philharmonic Society, 2024), for which she won an Ovation Award and received a CAT Award nomination.
Katie studied Musical Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music before returning to her hometown of Cairns, where she spent four years as a principal vocalist and dancer at the Paramour Cabaret Theatre. During this time, she developed a youth musical theatre program for the Cairns Junior Choral Society and was a QRL Cheerleader for the Northern Pride Rugby League football team.
Katie has been living and performing in Canberra since 2023. Earlier theatre credits include SPAMALOT (Free-Rain Theatre Company, 2023), The Producers (Cairns Choral Society), The Pirates of Penzance (Cairns Choral Society), Guys & Dolls (Saints Theatre Company) and Grease (Saints Theatre Company).
