After discovering a love of theatre in Canberra as a teenager, Joe spent two decades performing around the world. His international career included contracts on numerous cruise ships, as well as performing at Disney theme parks in Paris and Tokyo and at Universal Studios Singapore. Career highlights include playing Tick in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert across Europe and headlining internationally as lead vocalist for the ballroom phenomenon, Burn the Floor.

Since returning to Australia in 2020, Joe has appeared in Squabbalogic’s Good Omens, toured nationally with Monkey Baa’s Pete the Sheep, and starred in Free-Rain Theatre Company’s productions of Priscilla and Billy Elliot. Canberra audiences have also seen him in Holding the Man, Hay Fever, QUEERS and Present Laughter at ACT Hub, as well as Urinetown with Heartstrings Productions at both the Canberra Theatre Centre and Sydney’s Hayes Theatre.

Most recently, he appeared as the gold-laden, obnoxiously subtle Pharaoh in Philo’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, earning both CAT and Ovation Awards, before flying to Gander in Dramatic Productions’ acclaimed season of Come From Away.
