Janie Lawson

Janie has performed in many theatre restaurants, corporate events, cabaret shows and theatre productions over the last 40 years. Some memorable musical theatre roles include: Charity Hope Valentine (Sweet Charity), Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Muzzy (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Anita (Westside Story), Demeter (Cats), Judy Garland (Boy from Oz), Madame Thenardier (Les Miserables) and Ms Sherman (Fame).

Another highlight was appearing in We Will Rock You for stadium audiences in Canberra and Wollongong.  Janie’s most recent performances include Dr Chasuble in The Importance of Being Earnest, Clairee in Steel Magnolias and Jeanette in Last of the Red Hot Lovers. She is also one third of Canberra based vocal trio ‘The Stilettos’.
