Jackson Gibbs

& Juliet marks Jackson’s debut with Free-Rain Theatre Company; however, he is no stranger to the stage. Jackson has performed in over fifty productions, including the Australian premiere of 13! The Musical in the titular role of Evan Goldman, the New South Wales amateur premiere of Wicked as Boq/The Tin Man, and most recently in The Arcadians’ production of Les Misérables, where he portrayed Enjolras.

Originally from Wollongong, Jackson studied voice for many years guided by renowned teachers Charmaine Gibbs, Rachel Bate of Opera Australia and later, under the mentorship of Jason Turnbull of The Ten Tenors. These experiences helped shape his strong technique, versatility and love of storytelling through music. 

Jackson is thrilled to be portraying the role of William Shakespeare in this production of & Juliet and looks forward to bringing a little chaos, wit and ego to The Bard himself, while sharing the stage with this phenomenal cast.
