Crystal Mahon
Crystal was last seen onstage at the ACT Hub as Liz Essendine in Present Laughter earlier this year. Previous roles include The Messenger in Greek Theatre Now’s production of Sophocles’ Antigone (2025); Ivy Weston in Free Rain’s August Osage County (2024), for which she was nominated for an Ovation Award as Best Supporting Actor in a Play; Lady Capulet in REP’s Romeo and Juliet (2023) and Mrs Eynsford-Hill in Tempo’s Pygmalion (2023.)
Prior to that she played Cynthia Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen, Justice Charlier in Rock of Ages and Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers, (MAT Award, Best Actress) at the Morseby Arts Theatre in PNG, where she worked and lived for several years pre-pandemic.
Crystal’s day job is a Drama/Theatre teacher and school leader. In this role she has had the great pleasure to direct and production manage myriad drama and musical productions, as well as foster the creative and personal growth of hundreds of young people through immersion in the Performing Arts.
She is thrilled to be working with the incredibly talented team at the ACT Hub again, this time as both a Creative and Performer, on Equus one of her all-time favourite plays.
