Charlie’s love of all things musical was first recognised in pre-school where he loved to dress up, dance, play musical instruments and sing. Since 2016 he has attended drama and musical theatre classes at Hunter Drama, High Street Productions and Manchester Musical Youth (MMY), tap dancing with Renae Perry (Tap Pups, Newcastle) and singing lessons with Maddie Watts (Newcastle) and Dave Holden (MMY).

Charlie returned from his 2 year sojourn in the UK last year having made his West End debut in 2021 as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins and originating the role of Rudy Steiner in the world premiere of The Book Thief musical in 2022.

He is delighted to be reprising the role of Michael Caffrey in his debut performance with Free-Rain Theatre Company’s production of Billy Elliot. He first performed in this role in the Very Popular Theatre Company’s production of Billy Elliot in Newcastle in 2023.
