Catie Charles

Catie is 17 years old and has been dancing since she was 3. She has studied ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and musical theatre. She has completed the RAD graded exams and has recently completed the Advanced 1 vocational exam this year. Catie has competed in solo and troupe dance competitions across many genres. She has performed major roles in dance productions with Dare 2 Dance Canberra including Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sadness in Inside Out, Andrina in The Little Mermaid, Aladdin in Aladdin and an upcoming role of Bo Peep in Toy Story. 

Catie has also shared her love of dance through choreographing. She was the head choreographer for the CAT award nominated School of Rock by St Edmunds College. She also choreographed various pieces for the St Edmunds Cabaret (Get’cha Head in the Game), Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. She has also completed her Dance Apprentice teaching qualification and is a casual relief dance teacher at Dare 2 Dance Canberra. 

Catie has also performed in school productions and was a featured dancer in the St Clare’s College production of High School Musical (2023) and a featured dancer and mic’d singer in Mamma Mia (2024).

This is Catie’s first production with Free-Rain Theatre Company and she is so excited to work with such an amazing and talented cast!
