Alexander Matthews

Alex is a dedicated singer, dancer and actor who is thrilled to make his community theatre debut.

He discovered his passion for music when he moved to Australia at the age of 8 and started trombone and singing lessons, performing in various bands and choirs throughout school and university.

At Knox Grammar School, he became involved in  musical theatre productions as ensemble in Oliver! (2019), Singin’ In The Rain (2022), Catch Me If You Can (2023), and as understudy for Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys (2024).

In 2025, Alex hopped onto the Canberra theatre scene as the White Rabbit / Alfred in ANU MTC’s Alice by Heart, and is excited to make his Free-Rain debut as Paul in A Chorus Line and to be working alongside such a talented team.
