Justice-Noah Malfitano
As a full-blooded Italian, unapologetic opera fanatic, and hopeless romantic, Justice feels right at home in Lend Me a Tenor, marking his debut with ACT Hub.
The youngest brother of one of Australia’s most dazzling and award-winning sopranos, Imogen-Faith Malfitano, and a relative of Emmy Award–winning soprano Catherine Malfitano, whose voices have soared through the Sydney Opera House, La Scala, and the Met, Justice is thrilled to be joining their ranks in the grand opera capital of the world: Cleveland, Ohio.
Justice’s vision for a life on stage came crashing into focus in 2008 while watching the opening of The Phantom of the Opera (right along with the chandelier). From that moment on, he knew he wanted to be part of the chaos, wonder, and mystery of the theatre world.
Most recently, Justice featured as Frank the Bellhop in Lend Me a Tenor (ACT Hub), Guard & Chorus in Antigone at the Australian National Botanic Gardens (Greek Theatre Now), and starred as Edward in Consent (Mockingbird Theatre). With Canberra REP, he appeared as Thomas/Gossip in Sense & Sensibility, and as Venticello in Amadeus, for which he was nominated for both a CAT Award and Ovations Award, and won the Canberra REP Award for Best Male Comedy Performance. For ANU Shakespeare Society, Justice portrayed Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night, performed in the ensemble for Coriolanus, and co-directed Romeo & Juliet. Prior to these credits, Justice starred as Lloyd Dallas in Noises Off for the Bruce Hall Players, which marked the beginning of his theatre journey in Canberra.
Outside of the stage (and his everyday life as an ANU Law Graduate and member of the exclusive ‘APS’ club) Justice is a self-proclaimed film tragic with a soft spot for anything Giallo, camp, classic, or Criterion (ask him for his Letterboxd to see for yourself).
